1 cup shredded coconut
2 cups hot water
2 cups room temperature water
Optional: Dates or Jaggery
1. Place shredded coconut in a bowl, cover with hot water, and let sit for 10 minutes 2. Blend the mixture in a bowl with the rest of the water for 30 seconds 3. Strain through a nut/sprout bag.
If you are using this as a base to one of our curry recipes, then the coconut milk is ready to use. If you want to drink, you may blend with some dates or jaggery.

We use the shredded coconut that we strained out from the nut bag and mix it into our dog’s food. At the end of this process, there is no waste.
