Pura Veda Retreat Center is only 1.5 km away from the beautiful pristine beach of San Juanillo. We can accommodate up to 6 people and an additional accommodation for the facilitator (as a courtesy) in our humble abode.
We are the perfect retreat center for those small groups that prefer intimate settings, surrounded by nature. We also offer add on programming and a customized meal plan to provide support for your retreat.
We are conveniently located 7 Km south of Marbella and 17 Km north of Nosara.

The Western Air Temple: A spacious Nature Lovers Safari Tent Platform known to us as the Western Air Temple due to the fact that it occupies the highest elevation on the land. This accommodation has its own bathroom and an covered outdoor shower.

The Aum Cabin: A hexagon shaped bungalow whose shape was chosen due to its flow of spiritual energy. This cabin has its own bathroom and indoor shower.

The Humble Abode: A cozy wood cabin to help us remember the pleasures in the simplicity of life. This cabin comes with an outdoor shower and a shared bathroom.

Ayurvedic Cuisine
We are well experienced in the use of food to complement healing in our body, especially since our entire family has utilized food in our personal healing journey. Even though our specialty is ayurvedic cuisine and ayurvedic kitchari cleanse, we can accommodate many healing diets and cleanses. Your group/retreat will enjoy customized nutritious meals based on any requests, themes or intentions.

Hatha Yoga
INTEGRATIVE HATHA YOGA & PRANAYAMA CLASS (75 MINUTES)
This traditional Indian Yoga class starts with centering and moves into asanas, it then continues to include pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation, similar to the 8 fold path of yoga, aimed to balance the body and mind. All instruction and guidance will be given balanced with silence for self exploration and inquiry. Our center is 1.5 km from the beach. We have created this center as a living example of yoga and ayurveda. $15 per class as donation to the center. Please contact us for other timings.
Ayurveda Cooking Immersion
With gratitude, love and intention, this course is offered to those seeking to rediscover and enhance their relationship with food, health, mind, body and soul. Not only will this cooking immersion teach how to prepare meals to balance health and address imbalances, the program is specifically designed to strengthen your mind-body connection. Honoring the Ayurvedic principle that the energetics of the food preparer is as important as the energetics of the food consumed, this 1 week immersion program incorporates yoga asanas, controlled breathing, meditation and other mindful practices, all of which are aimed at increasing your mind-body connection. Your body and mind will organically become in-tune with the rhythms of nature as we explore these topics in the serene and tranquil setting of Pura Veda Gurukulam, a living example of Yoga & Ayurveda in Guanacaste, Costa Rica. This program is intentionally designed to immerse yourself in a high-vibrational and sattvic space to engage in this transformational journey with an open heart.
Mindful Archery
Take a journey inward as you employ the ancient art of archery. Used by many as a form of meditation and inward exploration, archery can help increase your focus, self awareness, self esteem, emotional awareness, emotional control, and the search for truth. Each one of our workshops is designed to help you find the Spiritual Warrior within. Mindful Archery is one way to relax the mind and body, and to learn to let go of attachment with the release of every arrow.

Course I
Intro to Archery: A beginner course where the basic shooting technique and safety guidelines are introduced / reviewed, archers become comfortable with the bow, and practice becomes an exploration of self and truth. In the spiritual path this is where the physical movement begins to give way to the spiritual connection.

Course II
Mindful Archery: A deeper exploration of the self through archery. Emphasis is on the breath, the present moment, and creating truthful synergy of the body and mind. Focus, discipline and self control all play a role in the creation of this experience. Here we come to realize that the process guides us and not the outcome.

Yogarchery
The truthful fusion between yoga and archery has come together in one workshop. Experience how yoga, archery and pranayama (breath work) combine to give you an inward experience that will help you with focus, self awareness, and letting go.
